We, reifencom GmbH (Südfeldstr. 16, 30453 Hanover), operate a web shop on the website www.reifen.com via which you can, after registration, primarily order car tyres, rims and accessories directly, or for inspection in the framework of the so-called "branch purchase" at one of our branches or have one of our premium partners make them available to you in the framework of the so-called "premium partner reservations" for the purchase on-site at the location of the premium partner. We as well as our branches appreciate the trust you have placed in us. Therefore, we place great emphasis on the protection of your personal data. With this Data Protection Declaration, we – as the operator of this website and responsible party according to Art. 4 No. 7 of the General Data Protection Regulation (Datenschutzgrundverordnung) – would like to inform you whether and how personal data are processed. The term personal data is defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (in the following "GDPR"). According to this, "personal data" are information that are related to an identified or identifiable natural person. Part of these are for example your real name, your address, your phone number or your date of birth. Information about your usage of this website can also be considered as personal data. When only using the website to gather information, i.e. when you do not register or transmit information to us otherwise, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. When you look at our website, we collect the following data that are technically necessary to show our website and to guarantee the stability and safety. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. f GDPR:
IP address, date and time of the request, content of the requested page, access status/HTTP status code, data quantity, website (from which our web shop has been accessed), browser, operating system, interface (resolution), language, and browser version.
The data saved by us are deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to guarantee the stability and safety of our technical systems.
When visiting our website, data is collected via so-called cookies – unless you have deactivated this function in your web browser – in order to offer you a more comprehensive service that is adapted for your user behaviour. Thereby the following principles apply:
What are cookies and will I be personally identified through them?
Cookies are alphanumeric tags within small files which are transmitted to the hard drive of your computer via your web browser. However, you can generally visit our website without telling us who are you. Through the cookies used on our website (see points 3.2. to 3.3) only usage data are collected, like the website from which you visit us and the websites that you visit from our page. These pieces of information are analysed for statistical purposes. You as a single user stay anonymous at all times.

Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and thereby enable the analysis of the usage of the website by you. The information about your usage of this website generated through the cookie is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In case of the activation of the IP-anonymisation on this website, your IP address is shortened within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are parties to the European Economic Area Agreement beforehand. The complete IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there only in exceptional cases. The IP address transmitted in the framework of Google Analytics by your browser is not amalgamated with other data by Google. Please note that Google Analytics has been extended with the code "anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee an anonymised recording of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
This website uses social plug-ins of the provider
These plug-ins usually elicit data from you by default and transmit them to the server of the respective provider. To guarantee the protection of your privacy, we have taken technical measures to guarantee that your data are not recorded by the provider of the respective plug-ins without your consent. When calling up a page where plug-ins are integrated, these are deactivated first of all. Only when clicking on the respective symbol, the plug-ins are activated and you thereby give your consent that your data are transmitted to the respective provider. The legal basis for the usage of the plug-ins is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. a and lit. f GDPR.
After activation, the plug-ins also collect personal data like your IP address and send these to the server of the respective provider, where these are saved. Further, activated social plug-ins set a cookie with a unique identification when the respective website is called up. That way the provider can also create profiles about your user behaviour. We have integrated videos from the provider "YouTube" (YouTube LLC with principal place of business in 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA) on our website. Thereby we use the so-called "Extended data protection mode". This means that no cookies are stored on your computer and that no data are transferred to YouTube as long as you do not play the integrated videos. Should you play the integrated videos, YouTube will save a cookie on your computer and there may be a data transfer to YouTube. On our website you have the possibility to search for branches or fitting partners in your postal code area. For this purpose, we have integrated “Google Maps”, an offer of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our website. There is no processing of your postal code by us, but directly by Google. In order to use the functions of Google Maps, further information, including the IP address, can be transmitted to the provider's servers. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. When visiting a website that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Google servers, whereby the map content is sent to your browser and integrated by it. We have no influence on the scope of this data transfer. According to our current knowledge, this includes the following data:

The usage of Google Maps is in the interest of an effective presentation of our online offers and easy findability of the locations we have listed on the website. We use reCaptcha v2 on our website. reCaptcha is a service from Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and serves to prevent improper automated entries in web forms and thus to protect the hoster's technical systems. It is used by us for this purpose and this is also our legitimate interest, Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR.
When you call up one of our websites in which reCaptcha is integrated, a connection to the Google servers is established. A reCaptcha cookie is set. Your IP address will be sent to Google.
