3. For what purposes do we process your data and on what legal basis?

We process personal data about you for the purpose of your application for employment, insofar as this is necessary for making the decision about establishing an employment relationship with us. The legal basis is §26 para. 1 BDSG. Furthermore, we may process personal data about you insofar as this is necessary to defend ourselves against legal claims asserted against us in the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR, and the legitimate interest is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

If we wish to store your personal data in order to take you into consideration for future positions that may be of interest to you, we will obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR.

If an employment relationship is established between you and us, we may process the personal data already received from you, pursuant to §26 para. 1 BDSG, for the purposes of the employment relationship if this is necessary to execute or terminate the employment relationship or to exercise or fulfil the rights and obligations of any body representing the interests of the employee resulting from any law or collective bargaining agreement, or any company or works agreement (collective agreement).

If you have given us your express consent, which can be revoked at any time, we will also store your data in our applicant pool beyond the current application process in order to consider you in future application processes.

4. Will my data be transferred to countries outside the European Union (so-called third countries)?

Your personal data will not be transmitted to countries outside the European Union.

5. How long will my data be stored for?

We will store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to make a decision about your application. If we do not hire you, we may also continue storing your data if this is necessary to defend ourselves against possible legal claims. The application documents will be deleted six months after notification of the rejection decision, unless a longer retention period is required due to legal disputes. If we store your personal data on the basis of your consent, we will store it until you revoke your consent, but for a maximum of 2 years if you are included in our pool of applicants.

6. What rights do I have in connection with the processing of my data?

You have a right of access, to rectification, to erasure, and to restriction of processing. The restrictions according to §§ 34 and 35 of the BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) apply to the right of access and the right to erasure. In addition, you have a right to complain to the responsible data protection supervisory authority.

If processing is carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event that you make an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing is carried out for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims.

If processing is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent with effect for the future. You can revoke this consent at any time by emailing datenschutz@reifen.com or by sending an informal message to your contact person.
To exercise your rights, please contact us or our Data Protection Officer.

7. Am I obliged to provide my personal data?
