reifencom GmbH, which was formed in 2001 as a result of the consolidation of the companies of tyre dealers Heiko Knigge and Olaf Sockel in Bielefeld and Hanover, both founded in 1989, merged in 2018 with the joint purchasing company to form "a single" reifencom GmbH, which is now based in Hanover. At the end of 2015, the company was sold to Apollo Tires Ltd., a major tyre manufacturer based in India.
The central hub and control centre of reifen.com has been in Hanover since 2017. This is where various procedures within the company are linked and background processes are handled – from management to accounting and IT to sales.
The service centre
Our in-house service centre is an important part of reifencom GmbH. Our employees take orders by phone and advise on all aspects of buying tyres. We receive well over a million calls here every year.
reifencom GmbH has 37 branches across Germany. Here our customers receive competent advice from qualified employees on the subjects of tyres, rims, accessories and wheel alignment. In cooperation with our premium- and fitting partners, we offer our services across all of Germany and Austria.
In our central warehouse, more than 600,000 tyres and 200,000 rims are held across a total area of 42,000 square metres, waiting to satisfy our customers' orders. At peak times, almost 60,000 tyres and rims travel out from here every day. We run the warehouse on our own and ensure high availability even during peak times.
