In the tyre trade, we are very dependent on the weather. A winter that is too warm can make a mockery of an entire season's planning. Strategic purchasing therefore constantly analyses the market and plans the purchasing for a complete range. Our buyers remain very close to the market throughout, as well as to the suppliers, in order to manage the demand in line with the budget. Lots of experience and a good feel for the course a season takes are of great advantage here.
In addition to tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles, our range also includes rims and accessories. The management and procurement of the individual items is part of our daily operational business. Putting together and negotiating the right product range is an important part of purchasing and requires a lot of good instinct and market knowledge.
In the rim sector, especially, rich experience and passion are essential, because rims are subject to certain "fashions" that needs to be understood. Knowledge of new registrations, type approval of new vehicles, and the required and approved rim sizes are extremely important here.
In order to be able to offer tyres and rims for every vehicle in our branches, an eye needs to be kept on both the branch stocks and the quantities of goods in the central warehouse. The storage range and the replenishment of the quantities of goods is, of course, adapted to seasonal demand. Sophisticated logistics supply the branches with the required items from the central warehouse. In addition, enough goods must be kept available for the e-commerce sector, in order to be able to serve our online shops perfectly.
